Why stay here?

In Melbourne’s bustling CBD, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins is one of the city’s most exclusive places to stay. The hotel’s new Sofitel Celestial Suites provide guests with views 150m above the heart of Melbourne. A stay in Sofitel’s suites provides one of the best locations from which to explore nearby shopping districts and some of Melbourne’s finest restaurants. Awaiting you on level 50 of the hotel, Sofitel’s French-themed suites combine the perfect blend of comfort and luxury, with 360-degree jaw-dropping views of the city and beyond.

Dining

The hotel features the premium, renowned restaurant No.35 where guests can dine on breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. The Atrium Bar on 35 is another gorgeous, central feature of the hotel, which is an open ceiling bar that you can look down upon from all levels of the hotel. The beautiful interiors of Atrium Bar are a definite highlight of the hotel’s design and creates an open plan feeling. In-room dining is also available for all guests with a limited yet good quality selection.

Spa and wellness

Essence de Sofitel is a global Sofitel scent that is used throughout its rooms, reception area and public spaces to generate the same sensory experience at their hotel locations worldwide. Exclusively crafted by Lucien Ferrero for Sofitel Hotels, this French-made scent provides aromas of vanilla, jasmine, lemon and cardamon fragrance throughout the hotel. There is no spa and wellness facility at the hotel.

The special touches

As part of the stay, the Sofitel Celestial suite stay experience offers many generous special touches to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Suite guests are offered complimentary transfers to and from their location. After arriving in our transfer, we were greeted by the Sofitel team and taken through the hotel to our suite. A package was awaiting us on the bed with a welcome note and a personalised pillow slip and robe monogramed with my initials. Suite guests also have exclusive access to the Sofitel Club Lounge where you can enjoy breakfast, afternoon high tea, and an evening session of beverages and canapés. I especially loved the assortment of premium minibar items and the fresh blooms adorning the suite to brighten the stay. High standards of service throughout my stay were in keeping with what guests would expect of the Sofitel brand.

If you want to upgrade

There are four celestial suites at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins that guests can choose from – the Imperial Suite, Opera Suite, Ambassador Suite and the Deluxe Suite. The Deluxe Suite has a gorgeous lounge area and elegant marble bathroom with views overlooking Melbourne’s parks. The Ambassador Suite features a unique design across 64sqm of space and can accommodate six people in its chic dining room. The supreme Opera Suite is 146sqm in size and can seat eight people in its generous lounge and dining area.
